Pre-selected areas

The six pre-selected areas of societal or industrial relevance in the main HE programme are, roughly :

  • Health
  • Culture/Creativity
  • Security
  • Digital/Industry/Space
  • Climate/Energy/Mobility
  • Food/Environment

In addition to these six areas, HE also provides for a large number of “Partnerships”, which bring together players from the economic world and the academic world, along with the European Commission, in order to inform - and sometimes execute - the programme. Examples include EuroHPC, on High Performance Computing, and Smart Networks and Services, around 5G-6G.
