Research federations
The research federations (FR) bring together all or parts of structures from the CNRS and other organizations to coordinate their scientific work and help pool all or part of their resources.
Partners can participate in various ways (assigning staff, allocating funds or equipment). Although the organizations which take part in these structures retain their own individuality, resources can be allocated to the research federation in the form of personnel, credits, facilities and equipment.
